Job Description
Tim McGallian - State Farm Insurance Agency is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in Clayton, CA. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional service and support. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction, policy retention, and fostering a positive relationship with our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist clients in person, over the phone, and via email with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Answer customer inquiries regarding insurance policies, coverages, billing, and claims.
- Provide accurate and timely information to clients about their policies and assist with policy changes, renewals, and cancellations.
- Process and document customer requests, ensuring all information is accurately entered into the system.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively, escalating to management when necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of insurance quotes and policy proposals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of State Farm insurance products, services, and industry regulations.
- Support the agency's sales goals by identifying potential leads and referring them to licensed agents.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in insurance or financial services, is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable using CRM software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and patience.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
