Job Description
Tim McGallian - State Farm Insurance Agency is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team in Clayton, CA. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional service and support. You will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction, policy retention, and fostering a positive relationship with our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist clients in person, over the phone, and via email with a professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers, addressing a wide range of inquiries related to insurance policies, billing, claims, and general agency services.
- Provide knowledgeable and accurate information to help customers understand their policies and options, assisting with policy changes, renewals, cancellations, and other requests.
- Proactively identify customer needs and opportunities to offer appropriate products and services, supporting the agency’s sales efforts by generating and nurturing potential leads.
- Assist customers throughout the sales process by preparing insurance quotes, policy proposals, and following up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues efficiently, escalating more complex matters to management when needed.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the agency’s systems.
- Perform general administrative and operational duties such as filing, data entry, managing office supplies, and supporting team workflow.
- Stay current with insurance products, services, and industry regulations through ongoing training and professional development.
- Collaborate with team members to create a seamless, positive customer experience and contribute to overall agency success.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in insurance or financial services, is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable using CRM software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and patience.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
